Emma Jo's House - Cheshire Childminders

About Us

Emma Jo’s House is a warm, family run childcare setting based in our home in Middlewich. We are a mother and daughter team, Jo and Emma, working together as co-childminders to provide a calm, nurturing, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued and confident to explore and learn.

Our home is shared with our family, including Lucy, Jo’s youngest daughter, who is currently studying Mental Health and Wellbeing in Children and Adolescents at university, as well as Simon, Jo’s husband, and our friendly Labrador, Jake. This family setting helps to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where children quickly feel comfortable and settled.

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer a nurturing, inclusive childcare environment where children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning through play-based experiences.

Qualifications & Experience

At Emma Jo’s House, we are committed to providing safe, high-quality childcare delivered by knowledgeable and experienced practitioners. Both Jo and Emma are fully registered with Ofsted and work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We are both Level Three qualified in Childcare and have previously worked as preschool practitioners, with hands-on experience supporting babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. We each hold Paediatric First Aid certification, Enhanced DBS checks, and Level Two Food Hygiene certificates, ensuring children’s safety, wellbeing and development are always our top priority.

We are passionate about continually developing our practice and regularly take part in continuous professional development (CPD) to keep our knowledge current and our provision reflective and responsive to children’s needs. We are proud members of PACEY and Childminding UK, allowing us to stay informed, supported and connected within the early years sector.
